Poor People Recipes: Budget Salad
Yesterday I found about $2 in change in my couch cushions and decided to treat myself to a small feast.
Ingredients Needed:
- One head of Iceberg lettuce. On sale at Food Lion. 79¢
- Food Lion brand Bleu Cheese dressing. On sale at Food Lion. $1.02*
Slice lettuce head into wedges. Chop up one wedge into roughly 1”x1” squares. Liberally apply dressing. Consume.
Total cost: $1.81 (plus tax) for about six servings.
Verdict: Nummers!
*Technically this was a BOGO deal, so the total cost was higher.
