RECIPE FOR OREO DIP, or, HOW TO MAKE OREOS EVEN BETTER
1) Buy two to three boxes of Double Stuff Oreos.2) Get a butter knife and cut out the “stuff.” Save the cookies for later in a separate bowl. This sounds intimidating but only takes about 15-20 minutes and is well worth it. Mash the cream discs down with a fork, as neccesary.3) Eat a spoonful of Oreo cream just because, I mean, how often do you have a bowl of pure Oreo filling in front of you?4) Use the fork to scrape the cream off the sides of the bowl. Expose as much surface area as possible.5) Microwave for about 30 seconds.6) Repeat steps 4 and 5 until you have the desired goopy consistency. We found two rounds did the trick.7) Get dipping! Remixing the Oreo into a cracker and a dip is great, but we found a warm layer of sugar-y Oreo sauce tastes even more delicious on a ripe, cold strawberry. The best part? Because Strawberries are a fruit IT’S GOOD FOR YOU TOO!8) You may have to restir/remicrowave the Oreo dip every 15-20 minutes or so, as it has a tendency to reverts to it’s natural hardened state.
Special thanks to Scott for guidance, especially as he was busy maintaining pid, a reverse dip where you fill tasting spoons with a taco sauce/cheese/sour cream/tomato confection and then dip it into a bowl of crushed chips for crunch.
