Starting today, Chevy Chase Bank, the local, family-owned bank that my own family has banked with (great sentence) for the past 20 years, a bank which repeatedly assured its customers over those 20 years that it would remain local and family-owned, becomes CapitalOne Bank, just another extension of a faceless corporation. I am grossed out by this.
